Around Christmas 2019 I received a box of [[Henry Fischer]]'s diaries from my dad, Henry's grandson.  I looked over some of them, cherry picking important dates like Pearl Harbor [[7 December 1941]], [[Otmer Fischer]] getting drafted [[11 February 1941]], etc. to see his take on them.  It quickly became apparent that if it didn't happen to him personally or sometimes to a family member, it wasn't going to be mentioned.  I decided to put them online because it was a fun little project and will allow others to be able to read them as well.
