Early Life

Ralph was born to Bernard Henry Dickrede and Anna Mary Hoffman on 9 July 1911 in Glandorf, Ohio. He was the third of seven children, the first son. He had a twin sister Edna Dickrede.

Family

On 28 October 1936 he married Edna Fischer in Delphos Saint John's Catholic Church. They had eight children, four boys and four girls.
