Henry Fischer

Henry John Fischer (5 May 1878 - 14 December 1955) was a farmer near Delphos, Ohio. For several years around World War II he kept diaries which are being transcribed here.

Early Life

Henry was born to Johann Mathias Fischer and Elizabeth Louise Wegesin on 5 May 1878 in Washington Township, Van Wert County, Ohio which is southwest of Delphos, Ohio. He was the third of six children, the first boy.

Family

On 3 June 1908 he married Crescentia Elwer (5 October 1882 - 4 April 1958) in Delphos Saint John's Catholic Church. Together they had ten children, five boys and five girls.
